It's been over 5 weeks since our baby boy Arrow was born, and I don't think he's left my sight since then! (Right now I'm holding him in one arm and typing with my free hand, trying to lull him into lala land so I can make some tea and get a little work done.) He is beautiful and amazing and sooo adorable, and becoming a mother is just as challenging and rewarding (and exhausting!) as I expected. Everyone says to "sleep when the baby sleeps", but I'd always rather watch him and wait for his funny little sleep smiles to cross his face. This week we are finding our rhythm and establishing some routines, like taking long walks in the stroller every morning. Being outside and walking around the neighborhood without a destination or an agenda is a nice break for me, and it really prevents us both from going stir crazy and spending the afternoon in tears. (Most of the time he's the one crying, occasionally, it's me!) Today we passed by this pink house with matching cherry tree out front. Hurray for Spring!
There is a ton of exciting things going on at the shoppe and with Pop-Up Magazine these days, and now that I'm back online after my extended hiatus, I'm excited to tell you about them, and hopefully give Derek a break too- he's been holding down multiple forts as well as taking care of me and Arrow the past few weeks... Just call him Super Dad!
